Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

I have several years of experience with children, working as a researcher, teacher, and care-giver. Ihave experience as a youth fitness coach where I taught classes teaching fitness skills (through physical activity) and healthy living skills (through discussion). During my time as a youth fitness coach I taught various sized classes ranging from 2-3 children to 20-30 children. The children ranged in ages 0 to 13 years old. I also volunteered as a youth mentor with a youth, aged 12 for nearly two years. Additionally, I am currently working as a research assistant collecting data from families coming from a range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. I also have experience as a volunteer at the Ronald McDonald house working with children and families whose lives are effected by serious childhood illness. I volunteered with the Elizabeth Fry Society as a child-minding volunteer during the duration of a parenting program at the Child Development Institute. My experience with Children with Special Needs has been through my work and volunteer experiences. I have worked with children who face behavioural challenges, as well as mental health and physical challenges.
