Early Childhood Educator in Ottawa, Ontario

As an experienced dance instructor with students of all ages, I have aquired the soft skills and communication abilities to create unique and beautiful learning experiences for my students. These skills combined with my personal experiences both working with, and having personal relationships with individuals of different abilities, and ways of living, thinking and communicating, encouraged my desire to work in childhood education, help, and leave an impact on all those I have the pleasure of working with. I bring a unique sense of energy, love and care into my work, one that will radiate across a room and be an asset to any classroom, colleagues and students alike. My effective communication skills in regards to a variety of groups, people, ages etc is both an innate, and developed ability. I have experience working with individuals with ASD, ADHD, teaching social cues, working with a 10th grade locally developed literacy course, and children and adults with physical disabilities. My dance students ages began at 3 years old and I taught adults into their 80's. I am well versed in American Sign Language as I began speaking and learning at the age of 6. I have deescalation abilities and am a compassionate, caring individual in all situations. I am currently open to a full time or part-time position as I make this career change.
