Early Childhood Educator in Ottawa, Ontario

I am currently seeking full time employment and am a hard working individual who takes all tasks seriously and performs them accordingly. I enjoy working with others and work well as a leader, a team or on my own. I am looking for a position that is challenging both mentally and physically with room for professional and personal growth. I have two amazing children of my own, an eleven year old daughter and a thirteen year old son who has autism and is nonverbal . I have acquired endless amounts of hands on experience by raising and “teaching” them every day. I also grew up with a special needs sibling, my younger brother has “Williams Syndrome” I worked in the summer program for special needs children with the OCDSB and held an EA position at Clifford Bowey for two summers. I thoroughly enjoyed working in this program and feel this would be a passion or calling for me not just a job. As a mom of a special needs child I have the understanding, empathy and emotional strength to tackle any obstacle that may arise in daily routines. I have 7 years of administration experience in a front desk and office setting as well as over 20 years in the service industry.
