Early Childhood Educator Job in Ottawa, Ontario

Contract Position available starting December 2020 to June 2021 for the right candidate. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to begin. We are seeking an assistant teacher who is preferably registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and/or has Montessori experience working specifically in a toddler classroom. The assistant position is for the Montessori Toddler classroom to begin in December 2020 . We are looking for individuals who are creative, collaborative and knowledgeable about early childhood development and preferably have completed the ECE program and/or Montessori Training or who are in the process and have a minimum of one year experience working with toddlers . We are also looking for someone who will project a professional and positive image at all times. The assistant will be responsible for all the daily activities including classroom set-up, maintaining classroom environment, snack preparation, assisting children with toileting skills, diaper changes, assisting children during work times, as well as production of art/theme activities for the toddler program. This position will also participate in recess duty, arrival/dismissal of children and lunch preparation and rest period. In addition, classroom cleaning, as well as staff meetings.
