Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I am a recent graduate of Niagara University where I received my Bachelors of Education, a graduate of Guelph University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in English and an OCT member in good standing. I was placed on the Deans list each term, while studying in teachers college and received many letters of recommendation. After graduation I applied to teach abroad, which lead to me Melbourne, Australia. I then received my VIC qualification and began teaching in April 2016. I was placed on three priority lists and had consistent work 5 days a week. I carried my strong educational skills along with my full commitment and participation to the life of each school I worked at. I was able to work with many different schools in Melbourne. Some schools worked with a lot of structure and discipline, while others were very open and provided a lot of freedom for the students. From being exposed to different models of teaching I was able to broaden my horizon and continue to develop my personal pedagogy. For example, I began to understand the importance of respect between a teacher and student. In order for a student to learn and work efficiently there had to be a mutual understanding and respect between teacher and student. I am a very motivated working professional who has the ability to work independently but also within a team.
