Withrow Childcare Centre is a well established, not for profit, school based centre located in Riverdale. We are seeking a Supervisor. The Supervisor supports the Executive Director in day to day operations of the Centre with accordance with the Centre's policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors. The Supervisor works closely with the Executive Director to provide a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment that demonstrates sensitivity to the individual needs of the children in all aspects of their development, as well as the needs of the staff and parents. Position Responsibilities Include: - Waitlist management - Staff and supply scheduling - Ensure the program is compliant with all provincial and city requirements. - Working closely with staff to ensure programs meets/exceeds requirements - Attend and participate at staff meetings - Responsible for ensuring that children with special needs and considerations are properly cared for. This includes working with Resource Consultants and outside agencies, managing the Allergy and Anaphylactic policies and procedures, etc. - Update all records including but not limited to children's medical forms and records, allergy/food restriction lists, employee records, volunteer registrations, weekly and monthly forms for all programs, monthly kitchen and program logs, etc. - Be available to parents & staff on regular basis and ensure an "open-door" policy. Employment Qualifications and Skills: - Registered Early Childhood Educator (at least 4 years experience) - Current clear Police Reference Check - Up-to-date immunizations - Valid First Aid and CPR (Level C) - Certificate in WHMIS and Health and Safety Training - Working knowledge of the CCEYA, City of Toronto AQI, Childcare Modernization Act, Human Rights Code, Employment Standard Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act - In office management experience - Food Handlers Certificate - Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills - Excellent time management and prioritization skills - Excellent organization skills to prioritize workload in order to achieve results in a constantly changing environment - Must possess strong leadership skills and positive professional attitude - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to establish and effectively communicate with management, employees, parents/guardians, community agencies, personnel of affiliate public school and general public Please forward a resume with cover letter to: Hiring Committee @ [email protected] Please note: We thank all those who apply for this position however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
