Early Childhood Educator Job in Burlington, Ontario

The YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford provides quality Before and After School programs to children from JK - Grade 6 in local schools in Hamilton, Burlington and Brantford. We are currently hiring part time/split shift staff for our Before and After School programs. We are hiring RECE Supervisors for the School Age Programs (grades 1 - 6) and FDK Programs (JK/SK). Responsibilities Develop and implement a program that meets the developmental needs of children, while adhering to the YMCA quality standards and the regulations of the Child Care Early Years Act (including How Does Learning Happen, and Think, Feel, Act) Supervise children at all times during program to ensure the health and safety needs of all are met Maintain and foster good relationships with school personnel, parents and other staff Some administrative duties Qualifications Diploma or Degree in ECE (must be registered) Minimum TWO years paid working experience in a licensed Child Care facility 18 years of age or older Required Standard First Aid Level C with AED Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Positive relationship builder with community partners Current criminal reference check including Vulnerable Sector Screening (provide a new one or one that is no older than 6 months) If you are interested in applying for a position, please submit your resume and cover letter to: saccjobs(AT)ymcahbb(DOT)ca We thank all applicants, however, only those considered for an interview will be contacted.
