Early Childhood Educator in Waterdown, Ontario

As an Individual I have had many experiences working with children. I have had a passion to children since I was very little. I started off as a Co-op student at a local daycare by my school and then decided to continue my passion by doing the ECE apprenticeship program through Mohawk. I got hired as a staff at my co-op placement and was a before and after school teacher at 2 different schools. I got to plan and implement my learning from school and then was asked to be a full time summer camp counselor. I worked with children from 4 to 12 at the summer camp. I planned and created activities and games for the children as well as making sure that we were well prepared for any trips we went on. I then applied for a full time position at a new center and was hired on as a full time ECA in a toddler room. I have now been their for 2 and a half years. I have been able to achieve my RECE in that time and am a new graduate. The most experience with Special needs children I have is working with autistic children in my care. I have worked with resource teachers too implement activities in the program to include all children.
