Early Childhood Educator in Whitby, Ontario

I have a lot of experience working in a daycare setting as a result of being a Seneca ECE student. I enjoy implementing, setting up and cleaning up learning opportunities that I have provided for the children. I respect the rights of every children, staff, volunteers and families by maintaining a confidential and professional attitude at all times. I take initiative in being a role model for food serving/toy washing, appropriate behaviours and attitudes for children. I believe that it is important to have a good relationship with the families because children feel more secure when they know that their family are able to interact with their teachers in a positive way. Children learn best while there is a smooth transition for the daily routines that is provided for them. Therefore, I believe that I am able to assist children in washroom, lunchtime, snack time, and sleep routines. Overall, I am very flexible and a keen learner. I do not have a lot of experience with children with special needs. During my placement at Cardinal Leger Catholic School, I was fortunate to work with a child with failure to thrive.
