Early Childhood Educator in Georgetown, Ontario

Hello, I am a recent Child and Youth Worker graduate from Algonquin College. While at Algonquin I completed two student placements. The first placement I completed was at an elementary school in Ottawa where I worked with students one on one and in group settings. I worked with teachers developing programs to assist students with their academics, behaviour and social skills. The students I assisted ranged from grades three through six. My second year placement was at a Community Health Centre in Ottawa. My role was assisting the program lead. The program was to assist grade nine and ten students who were identified as at risk of failing. Our goal was to have all students attend class regularly and receive all 16 credits by the end of grade 10.
