The role: Reporting to the Center Supervisor, the ideal Early Childhood Educator Teacher will identify learning objectives of the children, create and manage a variety of learning environments and activities that will provide opportunities for children to develop to their fullest potential. Learning Jungle teachers work as a team with fellow staff to promote the interests of the children in particular and the school in general. The successful candidate will be accountable for: · Implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. · Provide opportunity for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play and music · Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities · Establish and maintain a warm supportive relationship with the families of the children. · Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act and knowledge of licensing regulations · Keep accurate and current, the records as required by the Centre and the Ministry. · Attend meetings and professional development seminars as required · Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children · Be responsible for maintaining a healthy, safe, clean, stimulating environment for children in the assigned classroom and for the Centre. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills: · MUST BE A REGISTERED EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR · Early Childhood Education Diploma / Degree recognized by the College of ECEs (www.....ca) · Valid Vulnerable Sector Check · Valid Standard First Aid Certificate (including Infant and child CPR) · Updated Health Check and Police Clearance - Knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act and licensing regulations Application Deadline: Interested applicants should forward a detailed resume with cover letter outlining their qualifications no later than November 7, 2020 We wish to thank all applicants for their interest.
