Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I have worked as an RECE in the full day kindergarten program at the Toronto District School Board since its inception in 2010. Prior to that I worked as the program RECE lead at Ward Nine Cooperative PLayschool (now called Lakeside) for 6 years, working with toddlers as well as JK/SKs.I recently upgraded my ECE diploma to a Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education part time while working.. I attend many workshops on my own time which I pay for myself and I will be going to a STEM workshop soon to learn more about innovative and effective ways to set up play-based science, technology and math learning for young children. Learning through the arts is another area of the field that interests me. I am passionate about the learning and well-being of young children. I am a professional compassionate sensitive and progressive self-starter with an extensive and diverse range of experience and knowledge in this field.
