Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

I have always been very passionate about working with children. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Teaching program through OISE at the University of Toronto. Upon completion of my program, I will be certified to teach students from kindergarten to grade 6. I have completed 3 practicum placements in different elementary schools in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). My role at these schools became increasingly more involved, as I took on lesson planning, teaching, and classroom management. I have been fortunate to teach alongside so many different and creative teams of educators over the years. I gained extensive knowledge about teaching children ages 2.5 to 9 as an assistant ballet instructor. I have instructed international youth, supplied in various preschool classrooms with 6-month-olds to school-age children, and led educational tours with grade 7 and 8 students in Quebec City and Montreal. From ballet and creative movement programs to theatre workshops that focus on ESL immersion, my previous experiences have demonstrated my enthusiasm for leadership roles that combine teaching with creative expression. My background in dance and drama has contributed to my communication skills as well as my energetic approach.
