Early Childhood Educator Job in Calgary, Alberta

Locally owned and operated, A Child First Out of School Care, located in SE & SW Calgary, is seeking a qualified, caring, organized professional to fill the full-time position of Level 2 or 3 HEAD TEACHER starting December 14, 2020 in our After School Care & PM KinderCare program servicing grades K-6 students at St. Gianna School in Auburn Bay, SE Calgary. Hours are Mondays - Fridays from 12:00 noon - 6:00 p.m. for a total of 30 hours a week effective Dec. 14, 2020 until June 28, 2021, with job renewal in the fall. Extra hours are available on PD Days. Responsibilities include creating a fun and safe learning environment for children grades K -6, and ensuring the program run smoothly. A Child Development Worker or Supervisor Certificate and current First Aid training is required as well as providing a current police criminal record check. Duties include supervision of children and ensuring their needs are met, craft & program preparation, and light cleaning. OOSC experience or experience working with Elementary School children is a plus. Knowledge and experience in Out of School Care is an asset.
