I will be able to provide assistance to the center's staff and take initiative when able to. I will maintain a healthy and safe environment that meets the requirement set forth by Toronto Children's Services and the Center. In the classroom, I will make sure a headcount is performed and I will check their attendance how many are marked present on the attendance sheet and how many are in the classroom. I will make sure I sign in and sign out when I am entered and exited the classroom. When I will enter the classroom I will check the weekly program planner, outdoor activity and according to the planner I will take out the toys from the shade/ box. I will make sure to sing the rhymes and read a story to the children which are mentioned in the weekly program plan. According to the weekly program plan I will set up the activities for the sensory bin, and this way I will make sure to help the ECE with this teamwork. For outdoor I will first check the playground and make sure there is no glass or any other thing on the ground that would hurt the children. In the playground, I will perform the same task of making sure the attendance is done. It is very important to look if there is an injury on the child's body and let their parents know that he/ she showed up to the daycare with this injury. I will inform the ECE that the child came with an injury and we will write paperwork. When I visit the playground with children I will make sure I have the playground attendance with me. Some children have an allergy so I will make sure I have the first aid and an epi-pen with me. I am willing to do dishes, assist children in washrooms routines, dressing, diapering and meal/ snack activities. I will be a positive model for the children by teaching them how to follow rules. I am also willing to lift around 25 pounds. During naptime, I can do bedding and help them put their shoe on. We have to check up on the children/ infant and young toddler in every 15-20 minute. I have no hesitation to communicate with the parents.
