Early Childhood Educator in Toronto, Ontario

As an experienced and multifaceted primary school teacher, I have developed a passion and personal commitment to helping my students succeed. I feel that my background as an educator is a perfect match for the teaching support position at Toronto Foundation for Student Success: Beyond 3:30. In my most recent teaching position with the Ministry of Education, Jamaica / Bellefield Primary and Infant School, I developed highly effective lesson plans, motivational exercises, and performance assessments. I've helped improve test scores, and have received positive feedback from parents, and fellow educators including Senior Education Officers and Region Directors for my abilities in the classroom. My teaching style demonstrates dedication to fostering a positive learning environment to all students and maximizing individual student performance. The accomplishment I'm most proud of in my teaching career is my ability to tap into the core of students’ interest and using it as a fulcrum for educational development and improved achievements regardless of their gender and age. I am confident that my background and relevant experience will be a valuable asset to the Toronto Foundation for Student Success: Beyond 3:30 as the diversity of the program appeals to the innovativeness of my teaching style, creating well rounded students for a better future. As a new comer this speaks volumes as the diversity resonates to my involvement with the Ministry of Education USAID initiatives which involved the planning of student related activities which gave rise to students showcasing their talents and skills.
