Early Childhood Educator in Victoria, British Columbia

My main experience with children has been through being a gymnastics coach for children ages 3-12 yrs of age from when I was 16 to when I was 23. It has been energizing and moving to be able to work with children in this setting. Children and I both get pumped up to work together. As well, it makes me so proud to be able to see them progress and being apart of that process in helping them learn and master gymnastics. Throughout my practicums (in Surrey, New Zealand and Wales) and work positions in daycare and in preschool, children and I have always have built strong relationships and we both continue to love to learn from each other. For instance, in the past, children have taught me the joy of being silly and to enjoy the simplicity of life while I have supported them in learning about how to effectively communicate to those around them as well as learn about the world about them. I also currently work at the Cridge Centre for the family as a Nature Preschool teacher in the mornings until 1pm. During practicum, supported and guided children that had difficulties expressing themselves and had behavioral challenges.
