Early Childhood Educator in Etobicoke, Ontario

I have my own personal experience with children as I have a eight year old daughter who keeps me quite busy. I have volunteered in a Senior Kindergarten class in a Catholic Elementary school. While currently in school at George Brown College I have also had the opportunity to work with the infant and preschool,and Kindergarten age groups through four intensive seven week placement experiences. I also had my last placement at the Jean Tweed Centre; a centre for women being treated for substance abuse. I worked with them and their children many as a resources about child development, play based activities and attachment. I also recently completed an internship as part of my Leadership Degree, with the Atkinson Centre and a public school within the TDSB. I worked in a preschool room with several children who exhibited special needs. Worked closely with intensive resource consultants to work at better meeting the needs of the children. At the Jean Tweed Centre I worked with children with global delays, autism and children who have been exposed prenatal substance use. Through a recent internship I was able to work with and support students in a primary autism classroom within a school setting
