Precious Pearls Child Care Centre Looking to hire RECE's and Assistants We are looking for some that are: -Excited, enthusiastic and dedicated -Interested and confident in working with individual and groups of Toddlers and -Preschoolers -able to work in variety of shifts between 7:00am - 6:00pm -organized and up to date on the latest early childhood research -committed to ongoing professional development -reliable and dependable -Must take initiatives -Must be professional and passionate -Must have a sense of humour, be warm and nurturing, reliable and flexible -Have worked with children with special needs Duties: -Responsible for the constant supervision of the children, thereby ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children at all times -Planning and carrying out the Early Years curriculum according to the philosophy of the Child Care Centre -Maintaining regular communication with parents, colleagues, and Supervisor -Must observe and document the children's interests and activities -Must share in the responsibilities of planning and implementing age appropriate invitations, provocations and activities -Must participate in the supervision/supporting of volunteer parents, supply staff and visitors to the Centre -Must assume equal share of the housekeeping duties and responsibilities of the classroom and Centre, including the cleaning and disinfecting of toys, the Centre environment, and the shared responsibility of laundering -Must read, understand and follow the Policies and Procedures at Precious Pearls Child Care Centre Qualifications: -Years of Experience 1-5 years minimum -Experience with various age groups such as Toddlers and Preschoolers -Must be familiar with Ontario's Pedagogy "How Does Learning Happen?" and the Child Care and Early Years Act. -Should be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators if RECE's -Should have Standard First Aid and CPR level C -Must have Current Vulnerable Sector Check -Must work as a member of a team -Must have doctor certified Health Assessment and up to date in immunization and TB test Job Type: Full-time/ Part-time
