NOW HIRING Downtown Kids Academy is a daycare facility located in the heart of King West Village. The facility offers a full-time program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, a total enrolment of 50 children. The programs are designed to offer a unique blend of learning and play, in which the child becomes increasingly self-directed, able and motivated to learn. We promote school readiness in a fun and creative environment. Our space is unique, featuring a large, bright, open concept. Our minimalist environment encourages freedom of thought and creativity – true spacious simplicity. Downtown Kids Academy is looking to fill a full-time teaching opportunity in the toddler room. Candidates should possess an ECE. Qualifications: -experience developing and implementing emergent programs using the ELECT framework--demonstrated effective observation and documentation skills; -able and willing to work flexible hours (between 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.)--shifts are altered according to centre needs -demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cohesive team setting; -demonstrated leadership skills--ability to take initiative, assess and respond to situations in a positive , effective and timely manner and work independently requiring minimal supervision and direction -demonstrated strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills--able to communicate positively and effectively with children, parents, staff, and management team Only successful candidates will be contacted.
