Early Childhood Educator Job in Calgary, Alberta

Renert School (K-12) is an innovative private school in NW Calgary. It is ranked #1 High School in Alberta (Eight Leaves, 2016). We provide progressive education that seeks to nurture students in their areas of passion. Renert School is launching its Junior-K / Preschool (ages 3-4) program in September 2018. We are looking for enthusiastic, experienced, outgoing, and motivated ECS educators to take on the roles of full-time and part-time Teachers and Teacher Assistants. We currently have 6-8 openings for exceptional individuals. We offer a uniquely creative Reggio- and Montessori-inspired ECS work environment within a broader school community. Qualifications: 1) Loves children 2) Interested in encouraging children to reach their full potential by sparking imaginations, building self-esteem, and providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment. 3) Growth-minded person with curiosity and willingness to continue to develop and learn as a professional. 4) Open to feedback. 5) Has a level 1, 2, or 3 (CDA, CDW, or CDS) ECS Certification. 6) Current Child Care First Aid with CPR 7) Current Police Clearance and Vulnerable Sector check 8) Two or more years in working with children in a childcare setting. Very experienced teachers who are looking for new challenges are preferred. 8) A naturally positive and sunny disposition 9) Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and problem solving skills 10) Ability to work well as part of a team. 11) Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, co-workers, and community. 12) Willing to assist children in self-care routines (e.g. dressing/undressing). 13) A high level of personal integrity.
