Infant or Toddler Program ***Start Immediately**** RECE At Little Hands at Play we are seeking a lead RECE who will be responsible for teaching in a classroom through the Ministry of Education and Public Health requirements. Also seeking a staff with experience. Must be eager to work with Infant, Preschool, Kindergarten, or School Age. Duties include: Teaching in and managing a classroom through positive and engaging strategies. (must love love children) Reviewing and implementing programming to ensure that the center meets all the requirements of licensing from the Ministry of Education including academic and operational requirements. Support children with emotional, physical, or behavioral problems and help develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. Assisting in the building of a strong relationship with parents and the community. Completing classroom management tools including checklists and logs a respond to the Hi Mama App. Plan and develop program webs in line with children’s interests. Provide support for children in the classroom and enable them to fully participate in activities. Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms. Manage and maintain an orderly classroom. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, coworkers, and parents Strong collaborator and team player Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom Strong problem-solving skills Skills and Qualification The candidate must have a joyful personality, be dependable, be committed and must be competent in caring for children and sharing these skills. The ideal candidate must have a solid command of child development, programming for appropriate age groups and knowledge of the Ministry of Education’s How Does Learning Happen? Pedagogical guideline. Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators Minimum 1-year experience in the licensed childcare field. Experience in capacity or classroom leadership capacity Have a recent Police Records Check (V.S.S) in the last 6 months Must complete Medical checklist, Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (Preferred)
