We pride ourselves in keeping a small school atmosphere and a low child to teacher ratio, allowing teachers to work with each individual child in the way he/she learns best. Beth David Preschool is seeking a part-time qualified Preschool teacher to join our outstanding team. Applicants must be nurturing, creative, energetic, and adept at working in a team setting. Optional: Beginning in May, applicants will be given more morning hours.. More hours may be available in the summer months as well. Duties will include but not limited to: Caring for children ages 2-5. Assisting children during the afternoon by keeping them positively engaged with one another Ability to successfully command a classroom of 7-8 students Be creative and able to think on your feet Have excellent communication skills with children and parents Highly organized and punctual Requirements 2 years experience in a preschool setting Minimum 12 ECE Units, AA or BA in Child Development preferred Comfortable changing diapers/assisting with toileting Live Scan (fingerprinting) Current up-to-date vaccination record MMR, TDAP, Flu Shot, Current TB Test Current First Aid / CPR card or willing to obtain before employment begins Mandated Reporter Training Certificate or willing to obtain * Hours: Monday-Friday: 1:30-6:15 (closing shift) OR Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 1:30-5 Tuesday & Thursday: 1:30-6:15 Benefits: - Paid holidays (MLK, President's Day, Spring Break, etc) - Sick pay
