About Lotsa’Tots: We are a ‘Playful Learning’ center. We believe that the most significant way that children learn is through play, and with interaction, engagement, and introduction of age appropriate skills, materials and activities by prepared adults in an intentional environment, children can flourish and meet their developmental milestones at the ideal opportunity for them. We believe that children learn, not when they play less, but when the adults in their lives play more. Our centers playrooms provide programs for children from birth to 6 years, and birth to 12. In each room, developmentally appropriate toys and equipment are provided to meet the needs of the general group. Specific adaptations are made to suit the environment to children with specific needs. The staff we are looking for: They will be active, friendly, and willing to engage children and adults on a variety of levels. Must be able and willing to take on other duties around the center including preparing food, washing dishes and cleaning. Must be able to understand that “Everyone is doing the best they can based on their knowledge of their place in the Universe”, and how to negotiate the needs of the children, the wishes of the parents, best practice and the standards of the organization. Lotsa’Tots has a detailed and comprehensive organizational structure in place. The right candidate will 1st endeavour to learn the existing system, then work within the system to improve conditions of care, education and work.
