Early Childhood Educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

Oriole Nursery School is a non-profit preschool in the Yonge and St.Clair area. We are currently hiring one candidate as a Registered Early Childhood Educator, who will work in our Junior and Senior classes, with children aged 2 to 5.Hours of work are Monday to Friday, from approximately 8am-12:45pm. This is a contracted position, from January 4th, 2022 until June 17th, 2022, with an opportunity to work in our summer camp program from mid-June to the end of August. RECE’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Works with other Oriole Teachers to plan and implement a play-based curriculum - Engages children in play - Plans and runs a daily circle time with songs, stories, calendar, books and learning activities - Assists children with diapering and dressing - Helps to prepare and serve snack - Assists with set-up, clean-up, and disinfecting of the school - Implements our School Philosophy, according to How Does Learning Happen? And ELECT Ideal candidates MUST: - Be in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, as an RECE (or equivalent) - Have previous experience working in a child care or school environment with children, aged 2-5 years - Have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certificate (or be willing to obtain) - Have a clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check (or be willing to obtain) - Submit current immunization records, including a TB skin test - Have a strong grasp of the English language, oral and written - Be able to multi-task, work well in a team atmosphere - Be patient, nurturing, enthusiastic and energetic - Be able to commit to contracted hours and dates No phone calls please.
