Early Childhood Educator Job in Toronto, Ontario

Looking for a Registered Early Childhood Educator to work in a non profit downtown Toronto multicultural center.. Qualifications: A two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education . . Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators.. Valid First Aid and CPR certification. . Up-to-date medical; TB test and immunization. . Police Reference check; Vulnerable Sector Screening. . . One year of experience working in a Child Care setting with children 6 months to 5 years old. . . Strong communication (verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills- adaptability and flexibility are essential to relate to the multi-cultural staff- students- parents and children.. . Effective organizational- scheduling and time management skills and the ability to function as a member of a team.. . Ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of the Metro Operating Criteria- ELECT and Emergent Curriculum.. . Strong observation and documentation ability to facilitate observation and documentation of each child's learning for developmental planning purposes.. . Must be able to work outdoors for at least two hours daily. . This position requires frequent light to medium physical effort (lifting up to 20 kg or 44 lbs.)- bending and stooping. .
