Runnymede Adventure Club (RAC) is looking to add to our dynamic team!
The successful RECE candidates will work as a co-operative team member, establishing and maintaining ongoing relationships with children, families, childcare and school staff, as well as working collaboratively with all, in a shared space classroom,within our Unionized Centre. The candidate will have a strong work ethic with the ability to create a stimulating and engaging program that interests and involves the children, using Emergent Curriculum. As well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, the candidate will be able to relay relevant and timely information and provide feedback to children, families and staff with confidence. The candidate has a professional disposition with strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks with little direction. Additionally, the candidate adheres to all the policies and procedures as set out by the Centre and its governing bodies. And lastly the candidate displays flexibility and enthusiasm and is able to respond to the children’s various needs and the ever-changing situations that occur within a childcare environment.

Qualifications:
*Early Childhood Diploma
*Registered Early Childhood Educator in good standing with the College of ECE
*Valid Standard and Emergency First Aid/CPR Certification
*Clear Vulnerable Persons Criminal Reference Check
*Up-to-date Health and Immunization Records
*Knowledgeable in using the ELECT/Emergent Curriculum and How Does Learning Happen? Documents
*Excellent knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act/Child Modernization Act and City of Toronto Assessment for Quality Improvement
*Computer literacy
*Ability to lift up to 30lbs and the meet the physical demands of the position
*Experience working in a shared space classroom is an asset
*French Language and Sports Participation are also assets
* A cover letter and resume must accompany your application
*2 School Age RECE's Postions- Split shifts for either 5.5 OR 6.25hrs/day on Instructional Days
- Up to 7.5/8hrs on a Non-Instructional Days
