Runnymede Adventure Club is a Before, Lunch and After School Program for 135 children in Runnymede Public School for children aged 4-12 years. We have been in the Bloor West community for 30 years. We are a non-profit childcare Centre, that is also unionized. We are looking for an energetic, motivated, passionate, and experienced person for the Contract Position of the Program Supervisor (approx. 6-12 months), who will be responsible for a wide range of duties related to program administration and overall Centre responsibilities. The successful candidate will join our team of caring and dedicated professionals, ensuring a rewarding experience for our children, parents and staff. The candidate will: Assist the Director and the Board of Directors with the overall management of the Centre, including administration, policy and financial development, compliance with all legislative requirements and Centre Negotiations Assist to develop and maintain high quality programs and establish professional, positive relationships with families, staff and all relevant stakeholders In depth and working knowledge of government legislation relating to childcare including but not limited to the standards set out by the; Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA), the Employment Standards Act, Toronto Public Health, City of Toronto Quality Assurance Assessment, Occupational Health and Safety, Human Rights Code Assume the Director’s responsibilities in her absence Qualifications: Two year Early Childhood Education Diploma Early Childhood Management Certificate (Post Diploma) Registered Early Childhood Educator with 5 years administrative experience Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening and Standard First Aid and Infant and Child CPR are required Other responsibilities include:  Effectively handles multiple demands and priorities  Readily and sensitively manages any conflicts/issues  Ability to manage staff in a unionized environment, and adhere to the Collective Agreement  Hours of shift vary, to be there at opening and at closing of the Program  Manages regular and concise record keeping and reporting, with respect to all child care functions  Supervise, mentor, motivate and train staff in a professional manner  Leads employee performance development and review  Excellent command of English language (both oral and written), highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to cooperate, follow instructions and make difficult decision  Good computer literacy utilizing City of Toronto and Ministry software and relevant software applications e.g., Microsoft Office  Manages expenditures as per management guidelines  Standing, sitting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs.
