Prospect Kids Academy is seeking a Primary Head Teacher for our progressive private preschool located in Brooklyn, NY serving children ages 2-5 years old. We are seeking a strong educator who can work in an intense, (fun-loving), environment. Our teaching philosophy is influenced by Montessori and Reggio Emelia methods with a lot of emphasis on using natural materials to build and let the children learn through play. Our teachers become facilitators in the environment that guides and fosters the children’s thinking. Using different approaches while teaching, we nurture a global perspective in our children; they become confident with problem solving and critical thinking skills. The ideal Head Teacher candidate should possess a B.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education, State Certification and at least two year’s experience working in a classroom with young children.
