Creekside Kids is a Reggio Emilia inspired one room childcare center looking for a full-time teacher. Applicants must meet the State of Colorado qualifications for Early Childhood Teacher. Director qualified applicants a plus but not required. Position is an estimated 25-30 hours per week with a variable schedule. General Responsibilities Include: • Plan and teach in accordance with Reggio Emilia Philosophy • Work closely with other lead teachers to teach, monitor, document, and plan instruction • Use positive behavior strategies to guide children’s social and emotional development • Meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each child • Monitor students during centers, recess, and guided instruction to encourage participation, appropriate peer interactions, and use of developmentally appropriate social/emotional skills • Speak with parents regarding daily activities of their child/ren • Supervise assistants and aides in the classroom • Help distribute and monitor meals and snacks • Clean areas of the center as needed • Close center including cleaning, staging and preparation for the next day • At all times, ensure the safety of the children • Meet all applicable licensing regulations Additional Job Responsibilities: • Assist the Pedagogical Director in the planning, implementation, and documentation of curriculum • Be knowledgeable regarding center policies and procedures related to families and assist families as needed with center policies including enrollment, scheduling, daily routines, etc. • Understand and follow all staff policies and procedures related to the position, the center, safety guidelines, etc. • Provide first aid and CPR if required and document any incidence of injury that occurs • Complete ongoing professional development courses and trainings as required by the center and to meet state guidelines
