About Us: We are a close-knit family living in nature, in a quiet area on 2 acres witha 1 and 3 year old, surrounded by conservation trails. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual with an early child education and/or montesorri background to join our family. Our philosophy centers around fostering a strong connection with nature, nurturing creativity, and feeding our children's never-ending curiosity. In addition, we have a large playroom with a similar setup to a daycare (e.g., art, gross and fine motor skills, reading, dramatic play, etc.)to help promote play, imagination, and fun-learning. About You: You are a professional educator nanny committed to your career. You are armed with lots of experience with child development. You are reliable (never late), easy-going, a great communicator, and have a great love for kids and your work. You are looking for a long-term and full-time position, where you can grow with a family. **Please note we are not looking for a housekeeper/house manager. Your focus is only our kids with the occasional walking of our dog.** Responsibilities: As our full-time nanny, you will play a crucial role in the most important time in the lives of our two children, an infant and a toddler. Your responsibilities will include: • Creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for our children • Planning and supervising outdoor activities that align with our love for the outdoors, such as nature walks, and exploration. • Collaborating with us to develop age-appropriate educational activities that promote curiosity and personal growth. • Provide daily structure, alternating elements of free play with a focus on learning activities • Preparing and providing nutritious meals and snacks • Take kids to various activities (e.g., swimming class, museum) • Assisting with basic household tasks related to the children's care and maintaining a clean and organized play area. • Communicating openly with us regarding the children's daily routines, milestones, and any concerns or questions. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a nanny or caregiver, preferably with a background in early childhood education, child psychology, child development, or a related field. • Dependable and reliable • Genuine passion for nature and a strong belief in the benefits of outdoor play and exploration for children's development. • Patience, empathy, and excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children and parents. • First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain. • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • We are a bilingual family. Proficiency in French is a plus, but not required. Perks: • Ability to set daily activities with considerable freedom • Opportunity to work in a unique and inspiring and calm natural setting. • Supportive and collaborative work environment with a family-oriented approach. • Competitive compensation package based on experience. • Three weeks paid vacation • All public holidays paid, as well as contribution to your CPP and EI • Possibility to join family on trips - we love to travel and often have to do so for work
