Our Early Head Start Center is seeking a Early Head Start Teacher to establish and maintain supportive relationships with infants, toddlers, and parents and implement developmentally appropriate routines and curriculum.
A $500 sign on bonus will be paid to all hired Early Head Start Teacher candidates. We also will assist you with furthering your educational goals!
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate, nurturing care for infants and toddlers in a center-based setting
Coordinate use of community resources to enrich the learning environment
Support program philosophy that parents are the primary educators and nurturers of their children
Supervise Teacher Assistants and provide direction to supervisees and volunteers
Coordinate screening tools, records, and required documentation
Enhance the relationship of parents and their children by encouraging parent participation
Oversee and assist with classroom cleanup and follow universal precautions daily
Assist children in transitioning beginning and end of each day and during field trips
Participate in program Self-Assessment Review Team
Maintain program standards regarding confidentiality and professional boundaries
Required Experience:
Infant Toddler CDA or 12 credits towards an AA in Early Childhood required (BS in Early Childhood Education preferred)
Bilingual (English and Spanish / Arabic) preferred
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
