Now hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic lead teacher to join our collaborative teaching team! ABOUT THE POSITION The Lead Teacher works with a group of 12 children and a team of 3 teachers. The team works together to meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive needs of each child. The lead teacher heads the planning and guides the implementation of an emergent, project-based curriculum. Lead Teacher shift is 8:00am-3:00pm M-F. (Our program runs 8:30am-2:00pm from September to June, closed for most school holidays. We are closed in July and August.) We are a part day program offering a play-based, Reggio-inspired curriculum to children 18 months to 4 years. Our location is amazing! REQUIREMENTS * Minimum of 18 ECE units, BA or MA in Child Development or Early Education preferred * 3 years prior experience working in Early Childhood Education * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Commitment to lifelong learning • Extensive knowledge of and experience with one or more of the following: Reggio Emilia approach, RIE principles, LifeWays principles, team teaching, emergent curriculum. * Candidates with unique interests and skills like gardening, music, singing, art, handwork, art, storytelling, etc. highly encouraged Job Type: Full-time Salary: $22.00 /hour Job Location: San Francisco, CA Required education: minimum 24 ECE units (may substitute qualifying experience) ECE teaching: minimum 3 years, 1 year as lead teacher
