Laurier Heights Out of School Care is an accredited program that is child-centered and directed. Children and their viewpoints are respected and they are encouraged to follow their own educational path. We are looking for a Level 3 that shares these beliefs and principles with us and that has the desire and passion to work in an evolved and harmonious environment rich in possibilities and provocations that invite extended exploration through material items and relationships. This person must be passionate about co-constructing knowledge with children, interacting and communicating with parents, and collaborating with community members. She or he should be reflective of their own teaching, and be confident in their ability to document children's work. A knowledge of emergent curriculum and the Reggio-Emilia Approach are an asset. Ongoing professional development is facilitated. The monthly salary starts at $3200 PLUS wage enhancement (for an average annual salary of $53,000.)
