Early Childhood Educator Job in Victoria, British Columbia

Jenn's Little Bears is looking for a hardworking, dedicated ECE to join our Program. This is a temporary position to start as soon as possible. We like to spend time outside, doing messy activities, free play, dancing, jumping and having fun! We have a very friendly and fun working environment and all of our educators have been with us for 5 years. We have a very collaborative team player atmosphere. We operate with an enhanced ratio in both our IT and Preschool aged Program. This allows educators more time to spend one on one time or in small groups with children. We find this helps children thrive and allows us as educators to bond better with the children. This also allows educators the opportunity for breaks offsite and manageable work hours. Applicant must have -certificate to practice -first aid -clean criminal record check -at least 2 excellent references We are looking for an upbeat, outgoing individual. Must be reliable, flexible and a fun team player. Job Description play with and engage children facilitate circle times, art and sensory activities cleaning and housekeeping duties creative thoughts and games communicating effectively with both parents and other educators respectfully interacting with children, parents and other educators providing children with opportunities for learning and growth independence building diapering and potty training lifting, squatting, carrying children and other physical activities Compensation Hourly wage $20-23/hr $4/hr wage enhancement from the government benefits (includes dental, extended medical, life insurance, vision care, E.A.P) 2 weeks paid sick days paid holiday closure at Christmas (this does not count towards your vacation time) Signing bonus to be given after 3 months probationary period
