Early Childhood Educator Job in Queens, New York

Full-time Preschool Teacher Position Sesame Sprout is currently hiring committed, positive, and passionate teachers to educate and care for children in our Preschool classroom. We are looking for candidates with a passion for teaching and who will go above and beyond to inspire children and create a fun, nurturing and safe environment for learning. The candidate must possess leadership qualities, time-management skills, and organizational abilities in order to effectively manage a classroom environment. The candidate must also demonstrate exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the children, families and staff members at all times. Teacher’s responsibilities: ~Developing and implementing weekly lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum aligned with the New York State Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core (PKFCC), and Teaching Strategy Gold (TSG) ~Ensuring the and health and safety of the children in their care ~Interacting with the children to support learning through exploration and play ~Establishing and maintaining regular communication with children’s families ~Maintaining a child-friendly classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration ~Documenting children’s actions and communications through observational notes, monitoring progress and keeping data, conducting assessment, writing progress reports and IEP's Qualifications: ~Candidate must have a Master Degree in Early Childhood Education Birth-2nd in Special Education and a NYS Teacher Certification; OR Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education OR related field of study and 2-5 years of supervised experience in a preschool program; Bachelor Degree and on a study plan at an accredited college to be completed within a year. ~Candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a preschool program. ~Satisfy the mandatory background checks as required by state and company regulations.
