If you are a fun and loving person who is looking to create beautiful play environments for children, then we may be the perfect fit for you. *Wages are competitive and negotiable based on experience and education* Job Description: You are responsible for providing developmentally appropriate programs that are aligned with the Alberta provincial framework called FLIGHT. You must consistently plan innovative ways of keeping children engaged. You are responsible for ensuring the social and emotional growth of children on a day-to-day basis. In addition, you must maintain a clean and inviting environment for the children. Responsibilities and Duties: Ensuring you are adhering to the regulations of the Child Care Licensing Act at all times Interacting with and supervising children 19 months to 4 years (toddler program or preschool program) Creating lesson plans based on the children's interests Setting up the environment daily with provocations Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment Must be able to maintain proper documentation, observations and staff communication books Communicating and interacting positively with parents, coworkers, and the children Other duties upon request Requirements: Must be able to work independently Level 1, 2 or 3 is required Experience working with toddlers or preschool age, is an asset Be a strong leader with good classroom management Experience with FLIGHT Curriculum, is an asset Current CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain) Criminal record check with vulnerable sector (or willing to obtain) Good organizational skills and communication (Oral and written) Must be reliable!
