This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare and Disability Services field. Please note that his position offers flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Staff choose their availability and are matched with applicable clients. It also offers a flexible location. We provide care in host homes, clients homes and the community all across Edmonton and surrounding areas. Staff choose which areas they would like to work in and are match with kiddos near them. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required. Duties: - Provide respite care services to individuals between the ages of 2-17 years old - Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming - Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences - Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment - Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients -Plan activities based on the clients interests and abilities Skills: *experience preferred but not required - Knowledge of medication administration procedures - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Compassionate and empathetic nature towards individuals in need of care - Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for client privacy Requirements: -current criminal record check including vulnerable sector - Current Intervention check -class 5 Class 5 License with proof of insurance -drivers abstract We look forward to reviewing your application!
