Early Childhood Educator Job in Oakville, Ontario

Kinderhuis Montessori is looking to build our Team with an RECE for June 17, 2024. Recent Graduates Welcomed! We are looking for you! If you have experience and are interested and comfortable working with young children between the ages of 18 and 6 years. Our Teachers: -Allow children to be as independent as possible; -Encourage individual work time to promote independence as well as group work to promote socialization; -Provide the children with a “prepared environment” which includes making materials to support the individual needs within the classroom; -Plan individual and/or group activities to stimulate growth of the children in social, emotional, and academic areas; -Create work in the room to meet the needs of children with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs; -Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and coworkers; -Participate in school special activities and celebrations; -Responsible for diaper changing and/or assisting with toileting while demonstrating respect for the child; -Responsible for classroom cleanliness; -Maintains a high level of professionalism at all time; -Follows and implements health and safety through the uses of a variety of tools including daily observation forms, sanitary practices forms, medication forms, and the environmental assessment tools; -Performs other duties as assigned; -Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities through on-going education and attends professional development courses and workshops; -Participate in outdoor activities with children; -Ensure the program compliance with all Ministry and program’s standards. i.e. CCEYA, CCMA; -Responsible, independent, creative, hard-working, punctual, reliable team player and energetic; -Have a very positive and professional attitude and be able to work and contribute to our school and community. -All applicants must have/applied for a Vulnerable Sector Check, up to date Immunizations including a TB two step test obtained that is less than 6 months old. Valid CPR-C. Must be available at the time of interview. Qualifications Early Childhood Diploma required ( Please provide RECE License Number) Requirements required upon Interview date Proficient in the English Language Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check Up to Date Immunizations 2 step TB test
