Early Childhood Educator Job in Elmhurst, Illinois

Elmhurst Academy is a private, independent Reggio Emilia inspired early childhood school. For over 35 years, the academy has been educating children from birth through kindergarten. Our school year begins in September and ends in May; the academy also offers a summer session throughout the months of June, July and August. In addition to NAEYC accreditation, Elmhurst Academy is also a certified Nature Explore School, an accreditation through the Arbor Day Foundation. In October 2017, Elmhurst Academy was named a Partnership for 21st Century Learning Exemplar School; one of 16 throughout the country. The academy is currently a candidate to become a Gold Standard School through Excelerate Illinois. We are currently seeking a dynamic, full-time Early Childhood Associate Teacher. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of and embrace the Reggio Emilia Approach. Must demonstrate how they have made "learning visible" through a variety of documentation techniques. Teacher will reflect regularly with Program Director and classroom teachers. Job requirement includes a minimum of undergraduate degree in early childhood education or similar. Elmhurst Academy is also a certified Nature Explore School through the Arbor Day Foundation.
