Early Childhood Educator Job in Vaughan, Ontario

Assistant Teacher • Trained in First Aid and Infant CPR, Up to date Vulnerable Sector Screening, Registered Member of College of ECE and has online training with WSIB • 2 years’ experience in an Infant Room • Punctual and reliable at all times • Has attended the How Does Learning Happen Seminars and is familiar with the approach • Has knowledge and understanding of the Childcare and Early Learning Act • Is able to plan activities using loose parts and open ended materials to foster children’s creativity and is able to program plan in conjunction with the centres supervisor (all activities must be developmentally appropriate at all times) • Is able to multitask and follow routines • Able to record proper required documentation/checklists • Good with technology and able to use and frequently update parents daily through Hi-Mama App • Able to build and maintain respectful relationships with parents and communicate with them regarding their child’s day/needs. • Able to keep track and record children’s progress to later share with parents during parent teacher interviews • Prepare the centre daily prior to arrival of children and at the end of the day in order to ensure a safe and clean environment at all times • Able to follow all policies and procedures set out by the centre • Have the ability to research and continue on the journey of learning • Would be a plus if another language other than English is spoken • Would be a plus if able to sing or play musical instrument
