Summer Camp Supervisor – LEGO-Robotics-Mississauga Become a part of our Young Engineers worldwide teaching programs!! Young Engineers LEGO-Robotics programs are prestigious after-school activities for elementary school children in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). We are looking for a “Camp Supervisor” for our summer camps in Mississauga city. The position is temporary considering that it is for summer camps only. Work schedule: Eight weeks - July 5 to Aug 27, 2021. Monday - Friday (9.00 am to 4.00 pm). Compensation: Depends on experience ($16-$19 per hour). About the role This is a role for someone who loves working with children; someone who is creative, friendly, playful and patient, and has a passion for teaching STEM. Responsibilities include: - teaching our robotics courses to 4 to 12-year-old kids i.e., teaching theoretical STEM concepts to the kids and guide them to build motorized LEGO® models for the kids to understand and implement the theories learned. - helping the kids work on fun and creative STEM projects (experiments and crafts). - Creating a safe and positive learning camp experience. - maintaining COVID-health guidelines of the camp for students, staff, and premises. - Managing all the cohorts (8 kids in each cohort) in the camp. Requirements - You must have a STEM background. Degree in Science/Engineering programs (Exceptional students of 3rd/4th year programs can be considered). - Minimum one year teaching experience required (or any previous camp experience). - Supervising skills - be able to engage students and manage assistant instructors in the camp. - Own vehicle preferred. - Vulnerable sector police check. - CPR training (we can pay and assist in training).
