Early Childhood Educator Job in Scarborough, Ontario

Requirements: This position can be for any one of the three (3) childcare sites. Halbert Site, -25 Halbert Place, Solaris Site -- 141 Village Gr. Sq. , Cliffcrest Site -- 2938 Eglinton Ave E. . You may be working with children ages 3 months old to 13 yrs old depending on your suitability. Able to commit to 8 weeks / 7 hrs per day starting on Jul 4th, 2023. Candidate must meet all health requirements with updated Immunizations and at least 2 Covid Vaccines. Responsibilities include supervising the children, planning, setting up and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children along with supervising teacher. Participating in all activities with the children both inside and outside the centre. Teamwork and leadership skills required. Verbal and written English communication skills. Legally entitled to work in Ontario and between the ages of 15-30 years. Willing to work with children age 0 months to 12 yrs of age Clear Criminal Reference check. (MUST HAVE - Paid for by the organization.) Updated First Aid And CPR Level C (MUST HAVE) You will be responsible to: Assist the teachers will the supervision of children during the daily activities. Successful candidates can assist in the overall planning, setting up and delivery of the program for children with diverse backgrounds and needs. Participate in indoor, outdoor, active and quiet activities. Help teachers in the organizing of equipment, and materials in the allotted space. Assist teachers in creating and maintaining a healthy and safe environment that is developmentally appropriate and supports the growth and welfare of children. Ensure that your supervision of the children is in line with the center’s philosophy in respect to behaviour management, the child’s need for positive experiences and need for a safe environment. Help with the cleaning and sanitizing of toys, equipment and other room duties as assigned by the teacher. (This may include setting up snack and prepping materials for planned activities) Ensures that his/her work is carried out with the co-operation and agreement of the teachers. Represent the program in a professional manner. Maintain confidentiality of the clientele.
