What we are looking for: We are looking for an Out of School Care Operations Manager for the --... School Year. This position will start the week of August 22, 2022. Child’s Play is seeking someone with the below Skills/ Qualifications: • Passion to work with children and on a team • Strong communication skills • Strong organization skills • Able to multi task and adapt to various situations • Ability to work on a team • Ability to solve problems Candidate must already have a Level 1(or willing to obtain), 2 or 3 Child Care Certificate. Employees must have First Aid/ CPR and a current police/ vulnerable sector check. This is a full time split shift position. Staff must be available before and after school. Hours will be Monday – Thursday 7am -11am and 2:30pm -6pm and Friday 7am -9am and 11:30am – 6pm at Holy Spirit Academy. A Little Bit About Us: Child’s Play is a licensed Out of School Care Company. We have been providing before and after school care to children in Calgary, Airdrie and Cochrane with exciting and stimulating play environments since 2010. We are excited to bring our program to High River. All of our programs are different and unique however all of them follow the Playwork Principles. We incorporate loose parts, nature and outdoor activities in our everyday programming. Our staff are our most valuable resource. Responsibilities: • Lead and support children in multi-disciplinary activities • Support child-led free play in accordance with the Playwork Principles • Provide for the supervision and safety of the children • Participate in staff training and daily/weekly reflection • Ensure the environment is kept clean and tidy • Send and respond to emails • Purchase supplies for cleaning/snack/ planning • Be a support to staff and help team members develop their skills. • Ensure weekly site rosters are complete on aimyPlus and create PD day roster for sites • Meet with Principals and school admin teams as required
