Success The successful candidate will operate the centre in accordance with the Child Care and Early Years Act and aligns with the organizations core values. The successful candidate will also ensure the day to day operations of the centre are met, lead centre staff by example, and ensures high quality care for the children and families we serve. Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario Post-Secondary Institution Minimum 3 years experience working in the childcare industry in the City of Toronto Minimum 2 years administrative experience within a day care or experience supporting a Day Care Supervisor/Director General Supervisor/Manager experience is an asset Experience and knowledge of working with AQI is required Experience working in for profit and subsidized child care centres in the City of Toronto is required Comprehensive Experience working with all age groups Experience is required working in high needs areas Registered member of the College of ECE in good standing. Valid CPR Level C and Standard First Aid Certificate Childcare Management Certificate or equivalent an asset Available to work within the hours of 7am -6pm Valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle daily Criminal reference check Vulnerable sector screening must be completed within 1 month of employment Medical certificate required as per CCEYA regulations Duties and Responsibilities Supervise Centre in the absence of the Centre Director Participates and adds value in meetings. Uses one to one coaching with the Centre Director to set clear, fair goals for self and others Assists Centre Director in annual budget planning for the centre in the areas of enrolment and capital expenses. Following up on all leads/inquiries and waitlist to successful closes. Regular discussions with Centre Director to ensure all parties are kept up to date of all pending transactions, challenges and necessary follow up. Works with the Centre Director to manage & implement the centres Marketing plan Completes all required administrative tasks accurately, and meeting all deadlines. Assists Centre Director in providing training and coaching on problem solving when necessary to team In conjunction with the Centre Director, maintains and builds strong stakeholder relationships including but not limited to: agencies, schools, landlords, etc. Works closely with Centre Director to learn how to manage employees to ensure targets and regulations are being worked towards and met (enrollment, health, licensing, fire, etc) Assists the Centre Director to effectively recruit and select employees. Recognize and discuss action plans including termination of employment with Centre Director Consistently implement all policies and procedures & regulations In conjunction with the Centre Director learns to foster a cohesive and positive team environment at a centre level & establishes collaborative relationships with peers Build potential and newly formed partnerships with both the Customer & Consumer through providing support, understanding their needs, and problem solving to maintain/build mutually beneficial relationships If you are passionate about the values that The Foray Group represents, if you embrace the values of integrity, being fully engaged, excelling, growing, and making an impact then this is the position for you.
