Early Childhood Educator Job in Airdrie, Alberta

We are a unique and accredited preschool in our fifth year and we are looking for an experienced assistant teacher to be a part of our established program at one of our locations. Our program has a large academic component based on the Montessori philosophy, as well as, includes creative elements, physical activity, project based learning and more. We pride ourselves in being able to teach each child at his/her own level, while providing a challenging, fun and nurturing environment. Qualifications: A successful candidate would have a strong understanding of child development and how children learn. Montessori education or experience would be a strong asset, otherwise, the willingness to complete Montessori training would be essential. This person would be required to follow the program that we have developed and have the ability to help plan exciting and engaging activities. This candidate would also possess a child development assistant, child development worker or child development supervisor certificate, and have or be willing to obtain current first aid training and a criminal record check. This person must be very organized, adaptable, and fluent in English, as well as, have the ability to interact well with children and an ability to multi-task.
