Early Childhood Educator Job in Fergus, Ontario

Who We Are The Community Resource Centre Childcare provides care for children 18 months to 12 years. We offer before and after school care at: • JD Hogarth Public School • James McQueen and Elora Public Schools • St. Joseph's Catholic School Positions Available We are looking for staff that are capable of implementing a safe and engaging childcare program and ensuring all policies, procedures and regulations are met. We are looking for an ECE or ECA to help out in our preschool room during the day and run our after school program in the afternoon. Full-time hours are available. Responsibilities and Duties • supervising children within the program both indoors and outdoors • planning and implementing fun age-appropriate activities by following the children's interests • serving the children snacks • responsible for record keeping (i.e. attendance logs, etc.) • maintain a safe and engaging environment • on-going communication with parents/guardians • participate in monthly staff meetings and agency meetings as required • attends professional development opportunities and workshops throughout the year • report to the childcare supervisor and executive director Qualifications and Skills • Registered Early Childhood Educator in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario Certified Teachers or other equivalent child studies programs • Experience working with children – 2 years minimum • Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certification - Level C • Ability to work as a team player or an individual • Effective oral and written communication
