Early Childhood Educator Job in Friday Harbor, Washington

Little House in the Forest is seeking a new Educator to join our small team. The ideal candidate will love children and their play, have at least two years experience working with ages 3 - 7 years old, enjoy being outdoors in all weathers and have some training and/or experience in a Forest School, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, Environmental or inquiry-based educational setting. The candidate must have a strong belief in free play and informal, flow-based approaches to education in the early years. The ethos allows the school community to take ownership of their own learning journey and focuses on the personal, holistic development of the learners. The ideal candidate will thrive as a team player, working with the director and other educators to consider and implement ways that we can best support our learners’ social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional and spiritual needs through experiences and resources.
