Duties would include and are not limited to: - Working as a provider 7:30 am to 1:30 pm - Responsible for all children in their care (social, emotional, physical care). - Planning for outings, crafts, shopping for meals and snacks, etc. - Have fun! Kids are the best co-workers and can give lots of laughs and will keep you young. - Daily cleaning of daycare space and updating supplies. - Constant communication with parents regarding their children, as well as communication with owner of business. - Become familiar with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA). The candidate MUST: - Have their ECE or teaching degree. - At least 5 years’ experience working and playing with children, aged 1 year to 5 years’ old. - Have CPR/First Aid training, and be willing to take a refresher course. - Have a copy of their Vulnerable Sector Clearance letter (and will also reapply under my business). - Be eligible to work in Canada. - Have at least 5 references (3 professional and 2 personal). - Understand that each day will be different from the next, as well as each child and each parent have different needs and expectations. - Serve breakfast, snack and lunch. - Be responsible for cleaning and maintaining a clean and organized space. - Be active and willing and wanting to take the kiddos outside EVERYDAY to parks, splash pad (summer), libraries and drop-ins. This would be a great opportunity for a recent ECE graduate looking for experience or a person or parent who wishes to gain experience with running a home daycare. Serious applicants only.
