Early Childhood Educator in Edmonton, Alberta

I have my level three and enjoy working with all ages. I have been primary, secondary, and support caregiver in a number of places. I actually enjoy subbing, and can also enjoy part-time shifts. My first aid is up to date. I am comfortable playing and teaching both. I have worked in programs that had a lot of interaction with nature, and loved it. I have also worked with preschool skills programs. In some places I worked, I also did an English as a second language program to meet the needs of the children, who were new to Canada. Programs I did the planning for would include skills such as social interaction/communication, pre-math, pre-reading, prescience, movement in both play and structured explorations, vocal and rhythmic music, and art as developing fine motor skills while exploring various artistic media. A mix of Reggio and STEAM programming, with nature explorations. I teach using hands on activities like seeing what bugs we can find in the grass and making then playing with playdough. I have done teamwork ranging from one of us doing a musical circle while the other sets up an art exploration to setting up a dramatic example with a co-worker so the children can tell us what one of us should not be doing and how we could do it a better way.
